A Prebiotic Golden Milk Smoothie will brighten your day with a creamy mix of banana and mango spiced with turmeric, cinnamon and ginger! This gut-loving blend is sponsored by Dairy Farmers who are celebrating the launch of their new A2 Goodness milk range.

Do you miss the sunshine during the winter months? If the answer is yes, you need this glowing smoothie in your life!

It’s so bright and cheery you will actually feel warmer when you drink it. Okay, maybe not, but my Prebiotic Golden Milk Smoothie does come packed with warming sweet spices, tropical fruit and a gut-health booster as well, thanks to Dairy Farmers A2 Goodness + Prebiotic milk.

A little bit about prebiotics

This is a prebiotic smoothie because Dairy Farmers A2 Goodness + Prebiotic milk contains 2.5g of galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) per 250mL serve.

Prebiotics are specific types of fibre that pass through the gut undigested and go on to stimulate the growth and activity of certain good bacteria that live in our large intestine (which is in the lower part of our gut), which supports our gut health.

Types of fibres that are considered to be prebiotics include:

  • Inulin,
  • Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS), and
  • Fructans / fructo-oligosaccharides.

Now that we have functional foods like A2 Goodness + Prebiotic milk available in supermarkets, prebiotics are even easier to include in our daily meals.

About Dairy Farmers A2 Goodness Milk

The Dairy Farmers A2 Goodness range of milk is sourced from cows that naturally produce milk that only contains the A2 beta casein protein.

Beta casein…what? This is a type of protein found in milk. The two main types of beta casein protein in milk are A1 and A2. Some cows produce milk that contains both, but some cows produce milk that only contains the A2 protein. They are the type of cows that naturally create the milk that makes the Dairy Farmers A2 Goodness range.

My favourite ways to use this milk are in easy breakfast recipes like smoothies, porridge, overnight oats and baked oats. All of these recipes work pretty well as snacks, too!

Try the A2 Goodness + Prebiotic milk in this Prebiotic Golden Milk Smoothie. It’s sweet, creamy and satisfying, and will keep you full thanks to the protein in the milk + the fibre in the fruit. I’ve also thrown in a handful of cashews for extra creaminess and some good fats.
