This yummy chocolate avocado smoothie recipe is made with frozen avocado chunks, cacao powder, banana and almond milk. The frozen avocado makes it a super creamy smoothie, even though it’s dairy free, and super satisfying too.
2tbspprotein powder- I recommend vanilla or unflavoured

Instructions
Place all of the smoothie ingredients into a blender and process until silky smooth. You can also add a scoop of protein powder into the mix. Top with cacao nibs.
Notes
*The medjool date gives this smoothie the best sweet caramel-ish flavour, however if you don’t have any on hand then a touch of honey or maple syrup would be perfect. If you find the smoothie too sweet leave it out.*If you are making this for children and don't want to use cacao powder, a non-caffeinated substitute is carob powder. Carob is a bit sweeter than cacao so you could experiment with leaving the medjool date out then.*You could also add 2 teaspoons of nut butter to this smoothie if desired though I think the avocado makes it quite creamy already, but you do you!
