This bright and beautiful golden milk french toast is the last in my series of recipes for Pureharvest*. In case you’re just catching up, they’re one of my favourite Aussie natural products brands. Working with them on this delicious series of recipes has been the dream:
And now, golden milk french toast! The perfect recipe to have on hand when you need a healthy but totally indulgent-tasting breakfast treat. Topped with a warm berry compote and a sprinkle of coconut flakes is my favourite way to serve it up.
This golden milk french toast recipe is made incredibly easy thanks to Pure Harvest’s Golden Quench. It’s a vibrant turmeric-infused non dairy milk, made from brown rice and coconut. As well as being spiked with turmeric, it’s also got a little cinnamon and ginger for flavour, plus black pepper. Why black pepper? Well, it helps your body to absorb curcumin, which is the active ingredient in turmeric that has anti-inflammatory and other potential disease-fighting properties! (And nope the milk doesn’t taste peppery!)
Because this milk basically has all the flavour power you need, making this healthy breakfast SO simple. It’s just Golden Quench, eggs, vanilla, a little extra cinnamon and that’s it! Plus I always drizzle mine with a little rice malt syrup (another one of my fave Pureharvest products), as you need just a dash of sweetness, right.
Whisk, dip, pan fry, drizzle and you’re done. This golden milk french toast is deliciously easy and it’s also dairy free, low sugar and gluten free too (if you use gf bread, obviously!).
